The Firm
History
The Notary Office began its activity in the Municipality of Bologna in 1933 by its founder Notary Dr. Alessandro Gallerani, enrolled in the role in 1931 after winning the notary competition at the Lama Mocogno office (Notary District of Modena), and then moved to the Monghidoro office (Notary District of Bologna).
Thus finding himself in the notary district of Bologna, his hometown, the young dr. Gallerani, decided to open his own address with his Master, Notary Dr. Edoardo Pilati. After a few years, Dr. Gallerani, having stopped his activity in the Monghidoro office, decided to open his own office in Bologna and therefore left the Master’s office and settled in a new one in Piazza de’ Calderini. In 1940 this office became the headquarters of the Notary Gallerani since the office in Monghidoro closed down and never restored – with consequent transfer to the notary office of Bologna. Since then, and until his retirement due to age limits in 1978, the Notary Gallerani carried out his notarial functions in Bologna, physically moving the office to Via Farini n. 4 in 1949.
In that Via Farini office, a very young Fabrizio Sertori made his shy entrance. The young Dr, obtained his law degree “cum laude” on 31 October 1970, formally completed the required two years of notary practice under the guidance of Notary Gallerani and in February 1974 took the written tests of the notary competition. Continuing to collaborate with the Notary Gallerani, Dr. Fabrizio Sertori was appointed Notary by decree of the President of the Republic dated 8 March 1976 with assignment to the notary office of Pescarolo ed Uniti (united notary districts of Cremona and Crema) where he remained until the end of January 1978. Following the decree ministerial transfer, having ceased his activity in the District of Cremona, he was registered at the notary office of Bologna on 10 February 1978. In the same year 1978, Notary Gallerani was, in turn, exempted from notary functions due to age limits with effect from 16 May 1978 and, in order to give continuity to a firm of enormous prestige, the activity of the notary firm was entrusted, starting from June 1978, to Dr. Fabrizio Sertori who, in 1994, moved to the new headquarters in Piazza San Domenico n. 9.
In 2010, the young Dr. Rosanna Di Gesu entered as a trainee, having nearly completed her degree, and collaborated in the activities of the office for several years. After attempting the written tests of the notary competition, she passed them on the first delivery and, having also passed the oral tests in February 2015, she was enrolled by her Master, Dr. Fabrizio Sertori, who at the time was President of the Notary Council of Bologna, she became owner of the Porretta Terme office in January 2016. On November 9, 2020, Dr. Fabrizio Sertori has ceased to perform his notarial duties.
Therefore, today the notary practice is run by the Notary Rosanna Di Gesu, in the new office in Via Calzolerie n. 1, where it has moved, aware of having an almost centenary history behind it, which can count not only on valid collaborators, but also on the experience and tireless support of Dr. Fabrizio Sertori, who after 45 years of professional practice, continues to be a precious Master in the exclusive interest of Clients and Notaries.
